This is a polyurethane based, double component solvent containing, impregnated primer that is applied to wood and concrete surfaces with its strong penetration capability. Used in impregnating wooden surfaces during the production and maintenance of boats and yachts, in priming surfaces such as concrete, Eternit, mosaic and in preventing them to collect dust.
Surface Preparation&Application
The application surface should be cleaned from any kind of stain, rust, grease and loose paint and coating layer, sanded or roughened. The dew point should be monitored during application and treating moist or wet surfaces should be avoided. Moist and/or water may cause abnormal bubbling of the product. If the absorbing power of the surface is low, there should not be any shine or film layer left on the surface. And if the absorbing power is high, it should be applied as 2 coats. 4 to 6 hours should be waited between each coat.
Thinning / Blending Ratio
5 units of PU Transparent Impregnated Primer 49 + 1 unit of PU Transparent Impregnated Primer 49 Hardener by weight. Used without thinning.
Coverage Area
Varies based on the absorbing power of the surface and application method.
Drying Time
Dries nearly 16 – 24 hours after application. Reaches full mechanical resistance in 4 – 6 days.
Recommended Application Tools
Roller and brush.
