This is a tin- and tin compounds-free, composite binder-based, self-polishing, anti-fouling paint that is used on the underwater sections of the wood, polyester and steel sheet boats to prevent the formation of fouling and boring mechanisms.
Surface Preparation&Application
Before application, wash the surface with fresh water and rub down with waterproof sand paper. After sanding, the surface must be washed with fresh water again and then dried. The surface must be wiped with a lint-free cloth and Polisel Cellulosic Thinner. Infrastructure preparation, cleaning and leveling should be completed before priming with two coats of Polisel chlorine-rubber based boat primer. The first layer should be applied with a soft brush. The application of the fouling paint may begin after a curing period of 6 to 8 hours for the second layer. Self-polishing anti-fouling paint can be applied in 3 coats with roller, brush or airless gun. A curing period of 6 to 8 hours is required between each coat.
Thinning / Blending Ratio
Used without thinning.
Coverage Area
Approximately 6-7 m²/L for a single coat.
Drying Time
At 23℃, the paint is touch-dry in 1 hour, antidust-dry in 2 hours and hard-dry in 8 hours.
